pet peeve 3
sitting on the tube this morning thankfull for a seat, i was sitting there looking into space as my eyes were just too tired to continue reading 'jude the obscure' (v.good by-the-way) i noticed a man reading the paper (quality one it was as well 'the sun' cough, cough) elbows placed firmly on both arm rests legs spread out confirming his place on the very crowded tube carriage. the poor girl on one side of him was so squished she actually got up and stood down the other end of the carriage....why do men in particular think they need to comand so much space - LEGS TOGETHER, ELBOWS IN BOYS!

Well I think more women should sit with their legs apart and their elbows on the arm rests. Claim yr space girls! Esp. when you have skirts on.
aahhh yes, I may consider doing that tomorrow when I wear trousers. I don't want to have a 'basic instinct' moment on the tube with the bunch of sleazy men I see in the morning eeewwww!
i know what you mean!!! it's not just men. a fat bloater of a woman (and i'm talking huge rolls hanging out over her jeans she was so lardy) got on the 149 one morning. i was squeezed into a little nook on the very crowded bus and she came over and started (very deliberately) shoving me out of the way with her tree trunk arm. and she only went two stops!!! shoulda walked it and got the exercise.
