painting in stages
this is what i have done so far, and i'm pretty happy with it. it is starting to look more like me and not someone older. so those of you who do look at my blog please let me know what you think and any suggestions are more than welcome. i will do some more work on it this weekend and hopefully add some patterns and definition to the scarf etc.

Wow, it's amazing how much it has grown to look like you. Are you painting from a photograph or from a mirror?
And were you born able to paint like that, or did you learn it somewhere?
It's looking more and more like you. I think the face is perfect.
why have the hands have disappeard?
I prefer this one as it's not too stylised, but it's stylised enough to be artistic. You are istantly recognisable in the painting. You should definatley keep painting. You need a manager. Ed would be great at getting your work out there.

naomi; i work from a mirror, a little purse mirror as we don't have a larger one at the moment so it is proving a little inconvenient. i did a years painting certificate when i left school so i think i learnt everything from there, it is amazing how it all comes flooding back.
drue; hey there little brother, thanks for the kind words. yeah the hands had to go they just looked a little silly. keep posted as this weekened i plan to do some more to it.

I love art...I think it looks nice.
have just showed p and we are both seriously impressed, nice work chick, keep it up. i'm pretending to paint as well. done a base coat and just stare at the canvas...
I think the face look really like the Claire I know.. Well Done!! Not sure about the hair though I think it's really how you would like it to be :) Hope you getting on well, miss ya and keep being creative!!
