1. buy a bigger bag
or
2. buy another bag that looks respectable.
i have opted for the large bag, it is huge and a bright red bag with red and white polkadot lining! it fits everything i need and fits even more if i happen to pass by my favourite shop on the way home from work who knows what i might pur-chase.
out of pure voyeristic interest this is what is in my bag today:

I have always been much more of a bag lady than a shoe lady, though it really makes no difference these days as Townsville has no good shops for either. Nor does it have public transport, so now I just have a car instead of a purse. Instead of fitting nicely into an appropriately-sized bag, everything gets splayed out across the back seat.
Glad to hear that you carry blank paper around for emergency drawing. Hope you're finding lots to inspire you?
I prefer carrier bags!!! They are far more environmentally freindly!!
A carrier bag is not just for Xmas
or shopping.
A carrier bag blowing in the wind is extremely entertaining
Your everyday carrier bag is more useful than many people
Long live the carrier bag!!
