i am so tired after going to see the 'detroit cobra's' last night, i'm not used to going out during the week to a smoky pub (those were the days). the gig was ok but i couldn't see a damn thing: what is it with tall people at gig's and in particular, gig's in australia??? i'm sure when i went to gig's in london the people were shorter and i could actually see the band. for most of the night i got to see the back of 2 men with lots of hair (think twisted sister) yeesh!

i finally got a few pictures from friday nights karaoke. it was my brothers birthday so there were about 20 people singing the worst selection of songs i have ever seen. the best picture is of ed and suki singing 'kungfu fighting' the end of the evening rounded up at 1.30am with a beautiful rendition of 'do they know it's christimas'........ champagne comedy.

iron chief 3

saturday was our 3rd 'iron chief' night...a cooking competition based on the japanese cooking program 'iron chef', it is a little confusing to explain but we get together once a month and take turns in cooking a starter, main or desert with points awarded for presentation, taste and use of the theme or secret ingredient. this week i was cooking the main with the secret ingredient being FETTA i cooked a good meal but not good enough to beat Ed with his asparagus custard as starter mmmmmmmm.
a nice school photo of the iron chief crew

me cooking...well arranging the rockette.

day 2

well today has started off with a slow crawl out of bed, realising that i slept in an extra half an hour. but there were no rude people on the train so it has got off to a good start and i haven't found any mice/rats hiding in my office like i did last week. bob was my little visitor who we think was on his last legs or was really lazy. someone took him outside but the next day we found him next to the photocopier...dead. poor bob.

i did this illustration about 2 weeks ago, i call it 'iron maiden'.

image 1

thought i would include an illustration a day to keep me on my toes.
this one i think is my favourite at the moment. i took a photo of a girl waiting at the train station, she was wearing such a great combination of patterns and with the shadows across the tracks i thought it would work well with my style.

weekend

my first post:
i have to catch up so what i will do is start from the last photo that was taken on the 13th of june 2005. Ed and I went to 'hanging rock' with my brother and 2 of his friends. it was great! a little cold but the views from the top were amazing. just a shame there were so many people around, otherwise it would be so peaceful if not spooky (^U^)

my brother told us to look scared and so Ed and I tried but after what seemed like 5 minutes trying to compose the photo we were on the verge of bursting into laughter. do we look like we are lost and afraid? maybe not (^U^)
