lunching and art at 5 degrees

well this week has been pretty busy with meet ing up with people for lunch, swimming, applying for jobs, agencies and avoiding the cold.

i've joined the covent garden pool which has been good; i was tempted by their outdoor heated pool but i just couldn't bring myself to walk the meter from the door to the water...only the elderly women seemed to have the balls to do this...give me another 30 years and i might be ale to do it. used their indoor pool which felt like it was about 15 degrees but the digital themometer said it was 27 degrees...they were lying!

i've been to many galleries and exhibitions:
tate modern
turner prize
photographers gallery
national gallery
national portrait gallery
and next week i think i will go to the v&a

swimming again this afternoon before i meet fe for a drink and a long catch up chat.

a 3 layer day

well we got here safely and in one piece; qantas was pretty good and only a slight moment of turbulance...nothing a valium couldn't cure.
no photos at the moment as it takes ages to download pictures on the computer i am using at the moment.
have had a great week so far visiting galleries, seeing films (brokeback mountain and march of the penguins) and meeting up with friends, however this week is serious job hunting so more time on that with a litte less time for visiting galleries!
it is 3 degrees today so when i pop out this morning i think it will be a 3 layer day.

no time left - GOODBYE MELBOURNE

today is my last day at work with only 1 week left before i return to london i am feeling quite strange; starting over again is exhausting and stressful, it takes about 6 months to settle back down to some sort of normality or routine.

how long we will stay in london who knows.....life is about trying new things and trying to see where you fit in the world, maybe we have found our place in the world in melbourne, we are only going to realise that by going back to london.

i'm very lucky to be living the life i want and chose to, but soon we are both going to have to make a decision that will affect the rest of our life: what country we want to settle in.

melbourne is a brilliant city with amazing people i will miss you.
thank you again for making our decision so much harder (^U^)

stay tuned for more fun in london.....coooooold london (-_-)

no time left

as ed has the camera today i cannot put pictures up of our christmas and new year; both of which were brilliant. tomorrow!

i only have 3 days left of work and 12 days left in melbourne...i am sad and excited and scared and happy; our time in melbourne has been great and i wouldn't be surprised if after 2 years in london we will be back to enjoy the relaxed life of melbourne. everyone we have met has been so friendly and welcoming....you will never realise how important you have all been to our sanity and happiness...thank you.
