'm' visited on the weekend and it was so good to see him and hang out, it made us realise that good friends are hard to come by. speaking of friends i spoke to 'f' last night and it was so good to hear another friendly voice, i have needed that lately. thank you 'f' for phoning me twice and cheering me up no end.

hopefully i will have a digital camera soon, i have asked my brother to pick me up a cheap(ish) digital camera on his way back through hong kong, i hope he can find one as i would love to put more photos up on this blog.

it is strange how some friendships develop. since moving to melbourne (for a year) i have become a lot closer to 2 friends i made at work in london, that email contact has become so precious to me and their chats via email has really got me though this year 'thanks em and xav'. (shortened names incase they don't want to be known, not that anyone reads this)

my print GOCCO arrived this morning! i had to pick it up before work so got in a little late but it looks so cool and i have been skimming the 'how to' guide to try and get a head start on when i get a chance to break it in....sssooooooo excited!!

things i've made

iron chief on saturday! i'm looking forward to a nice 3 course meal.























besides making lots of toys i have been trying to follow patterns for more 'useful' things like a t-shirt which turned out ok, but i need to adjust the sleaves so the are more PUFFY (and not so much like a hospital gown) and the eye mask which i intended to give to ed for his birthday but looked a bit shabby so i gave it to him last night, he still used it this morning and and said it was brilliant....aaawwwwww.

GOCCO!

i ordered a 'Print GOCCO' yesterday, i am very excited, this means i will be able to screen print my own designs and make cards, and print on fabric and make my calendar for next year and do a whole lot of other things ...... what fun i'm going to have!

what is going on?

i got my hair cut about 3 weeks ago and it is just not doing its job...the girl who cut it really messed it up; cut too much off and cut it in a strange way that it flicks out at the bottom, which i specifically told her i didn't want. now i have to go to a wedding with really bad hair and my photo will be taken and i'll look like i've just chewed the ends of my hair off.

i am listening to 'the panics' at the moment, their latest album 'sleeps like a curse' is just wonderful, who would have thought they were from australia let alone western australia.

i just realised i haven’t mentioned anything about my sewing projects, well i have made about 13 soft toys, i have to make some for friends at their request and if i get enough together i am going to see if i can sell them. i am really enjoying it and hopefully by getting used to the sewing machine i am going to try sewing some clothes. i bought a pattern to make t-shirts so i’m going to try and make some cute tops with puffy leaves as i just love them. would you believe that i cannot find stripy material anywhere! i might end up buying it over the internet. but until then i am sewing every night and enjoying the welcome distraction from the ‘crapola’ australian television.

mmmmmmm i'm having tofu don tonight, it is my new favourite meal, $8 of pure delight. my mouth is watering just thinking about it. but i'm off for a swim after work first then down to 'kaneda' for my treat.

wow, antony & the johnsons won the mercury music award last night!!!! hip hip hooray! it is such a beautiful album i just hope i get to see them live soon.








i am also listening to rosin murphy's first solo album...it took a while to get into this eclectic mix of cabaret and disco but it was worth the persistence. what a beautiful gal.
